One of the island’s most notable solar projects has been developed in the heart of Menorca: a 30 MW photovoltaic plant with fixed monopole structures. This project, the second largest on the island, represents a decisive step towards sustainable energy transition in the Balearic archipelago.
One of the main challenges was the limited space available, which required meticulous logistical planning. The delivery of materials had to be carefully coordinated with the progress of the work, as there was no storage area on site. Thanks to precise management and collaboration between teams, it was possible to maintain the pace of construction without interruption.
In addition, this project will be the first in Menorca to incorporate energy storage battery systems, which will optimise solar production and improve the stability of the electricity grid. This installation reinforces the commitment to a cleaner, more efficient and resilient energy model for the islands.
